Resiterra is a team of 6 driven people, specialized in inner-city real estate development. Their mission is to bring quality development by creating new meaningful spaces in the city center, integrating a green environment, the historical value of the site and a modernistic approach.

In Leuven Resiterra is working on three large projects: Barbarahof, Janseniushof and Hertogensite.

The team is changing a large piece of no man’s land into a new dynamic living environment, combining comfort of living, sustainability and social engagement.

Director Erik Van Hoof was looking for a simple and easy-to-implement application to take care of his incoming invoices. Main idea was to create and automate workflows combining invoicing and project documentation with their application KPD, a leading ERP within construction companies.

Van Hoof together with the SMARTdoc Project Team made an analysis of incoming and outgoing documents, worked jointly on the implementation leading to a state of the art integration with the KPD application.

The integration combines physical and electronic invoices and sends these through an approval flow. Invoices from the main suppliers are recognized by SMARTdoc and the most important metadata are fetched automatically, resulting in automated bookings which makes the project flows faster and easier.

Replacing the paper flows with electronic flows results in much faster validation and approval flows. Typical for construction companies is that the main responsible people are often on the road. By creating digital workflows, the approval process happens much quicker. On top of that SMARTdoc creates a track & trace of all flows and the status of any document.

Next to that, the existing fileserver which is necessary for documentation and legal purposes was also imported into the SMARTdoc application. In this way, 10.000’s of documents were transferred to SMARTdoc and automatically indexed, secured and categorized without any user intervention.
